  • 1) What is the size of a page?

The Page is a unit of measure used in written translation work for us to calculate the size and the price of a translation or version.

  • 2) Is it possible to send work by e-mail or fax for a document which I need as a sworn translation?

Yes, however it will be mentioned in the document that this is of a copy sent by e-mail or fax.

Official certificates, judicial certificates, birth certificates, and documents such as contracts which are signed, cannot be sent by e-mail with official validity. In these cases we will accept the e-mail or fax document to start the translation or version, with the purpose of speeding up the process.

In Cia das traduções all documents that need a to be sworn receive the stamp and the signature of the sworn translators. This professional is a public translator, examined and authorized the State Board of Trade.

  • 3) What is the lead time for a translation?

The delivery time depends directly upon the type and the size of the document, as well as the language to be translated.

For a volume of up to 10,000 words, the usual delivery period is from 2 to 3 working days.

It is worth pointing out that, Cia das traduções does not charge extra rates for doing "simple" translations urgently.

  • 4) What is the difference between a translation and a version?

Translation is the text or document that is in a foreign language and it needs to be transcribed into the native language, in our case the Brazilian Portuguese. e.g.: English to Portuguese.

A version is our Brazilian Portuguese native language to any other foreign language. Example: Portuguese for English.
